The best idea is to join in on a few volleyball games with some experienced players.
The rules for indoor volleyball are far stricter, especially when it comes to double hitting, hand-sets and finger passes.
Getting on to the beach and playing is the best way to learn the rules.
There are popular national and regional beach volleyball teams in most countries now.
The sport is most popular in the USA, Brazil and Australia, which is hardly surprising since they have some amazing weather, and some of the world's best beaches!

5 Ways to Entertain Kids on a Rainy Day
I have some pretty active kids as do many of you, and although often they can occupy themselves, even when it's rainy, not always.
Rainy weekends can be difficult as can rainy vacations, especially if we are away from home, their friends, and all their toys and other stuff.
Here are a five ways to help pass the time and entertain kids when it's rainy of otherwise inclement outside. Kids love games and playing games can certainly work well.
If you are away from home this can be tough, but we always carry a set of "Uno" cards in the car and worst case you can buy a cheap set of cards almost anywhere. My youngest daughter is a bit too young to play so we usually team her up with an adult which works very well. A family movie is another good idea.
There are plenty of kid's movies that are adult friendly as well, for example the Shrek movies and Kung Fu Panda.
Just because it's a kids movie doesn't mean you have to suffer.
Both movie theatres and a DVD at home work. If at home, make popcorn and basically turn it into an event.
Arts and Crafts projects are also great rainy day activities. My kids can play with Playdoh for hours and beads can occupy them for an entire afternoon.
If they are not interested in this, perhaps a new art or craft you've saved for a day like this might excite them.
For example, we whipped out some finger paints recently we'd been hiding and the kids were almost doing backflips from the excitement! Building a fort inside from furniture, pillows, towels, and maybe more can also be a great activity. You do need to set some ground rules as to what they can and can't use, and perhaps explain the fort needs to be disassembled and the parts put away before bedtime.
They may want you to help as well, with might just mean advise them based on their ideas. Of course you might just go outside as well.

Mix in historical information about the rate at which users transition from cell to cell and the number of users in a given area (such as where a roadway is) and you've got the means to not only observe but infer useful information (such as traffic speed) from all that data. If our locations are known, then how long will it be before our cellular providers offer navigation to not just places, but to people we seek? Or to a pet with a beacon on its collar.
Or an Alzheimer's sufferer with a transponder.
And we get to have all this without each being tagged with a harpoon dart or with something large clamped to our ear as we'd expect to see in wildlife videos.

Car Games For Kids - Road Trip Games
Have a long journey ahead? These car games for kids will make the journey a fun adventure. Road trip activities can make the journey so much fun when you play car games. Even if your destination is only a half hour ahead, these travel games can help the children enjoy the journey more, and also if your on the way to a party these long journey activities can help them stay in a light and fun mood for when they arrive!
I'm one of those people that get a little sleepy in cars, and I know a lot of kids like this too. Ive found travel games a great way to stay alert.
These fun activities can help everyone stay alert on journeys, that's why I love these as a way of keeping everyone entertained. Lets get on with these great road trip tips.
Game 1: Usually played individually but with some secretive whispers can be done in teams.
One person or team decides on something outside of the car to count.
Every time they see it they have to count out loud adding up their score as they go by, so the other people know they have just passed it. Each time the object has been counted the person guessing has to take a guess at what the object is, you could even add a maximum number of guesses like 5 to 10 guesses or the person who picked the object wins the game.
Things to count could be road signs, shops, only grocery shops, roadkill (well we know some kids will definitely want to do this, I know my boys have), traffic lights, people in hats, the options are definitely endless. Try to make sure everyone picks something that isn't really rare though or the game could become frustrating for some. If after say 5 minutes the guessed object has not been seen or counted its time to change to another persons turn. This timeframe is totally up to you and of course dependent upon the children's age also, younger kids may need a short time like 5 minutes, while slightly older children may be happy with 10 minutes.
Depends upon the journey time also of course. Game 2: This one is simple enough, and its based around traffic signals.
Everyone takes a turn in guessing the color that the signal will be when you get to one, either when your level with it as you pass it by or when you have to come to a stop in the car as near to it as possible (for when its red).

Abreaction and Trauma

An abreaction is the reliving of traumatic early life experience.
Sometimes abreaction are deliberately evoked.
Sometimes they occur spontaneously.
They usually involve a total re-experiencing in every detail of an early life trauma. They can often be dramatic and frightening not only for the Patient but also for the therapist.

These traumas have often been repressed and amnesia for the traumas may exist prior to the abreaction.
Sometimes people are aware of early traumatic events, sometimes they have forgotten them.
Amnesia usually exists when the trauma is so severe that the child blocks out the experience as a way of surviving.
This is particularly true in the case of multiple personality. Multiple personality, often caused by abuse, is the experiencing of many sub-personalities caused by continual abuse followed by dissociation from the traumatic experience.
The child learns to dissociate from the memory, create an amnesia for the experience, and then when abused the next time to follow the same pattern until a number of personalities exist each with their own unique experience and their own personality.
These personalities usually have no knowledge of each other at a conscious level. Once an abreaction has occurred Patients usually remember the event although sometimes a spontaneous amnesia occurs as well.
3. An abreaction should be carried through to the end.
In therapy, therapists work with the raw materials.
Emotion is the rawest material a therapist can work with.
An abreaction offers the therapist raw materials.
If an abreaction starts to occur spontaneously the therapist should encourage it to develop as long as he is confident to handle it. When Patients ab react they release energy and they free additional energy that previously was used to repress the traumatic memory.
This new release of energy can be applied and directed into future positive outcomes.
However the release of energy is in itself not a cure.

Patients often feel vulnerable after an abreaction - this is when therapy should occur. At the end of an abreaction the therapist should start to consider various therapeutic approaches to repairing the Patient.
At this time more than any other the Patient feels the most vulnerable.
To send the Patient home in this state would be criminal. It is very important for the therapist to utilize the Patient's experience now and re-frame it in some way so that the Patient leaves the therapy setting with new beliefs.

Guilty parties/negative experiences/events should be re-framed to "heal the memory". Usually traumatic memories have a cast of characters.

Sometimes it is positive to allow the Patient to keep these feelings. Usually it is more therapeutic to re-frame these feelings in some way.
For example a child abused by a parent will feel very angry and resentful yet at the same time want to be loved.
The needing to be loved is an important element in Re-framing the Patient's belief and attitude towards the parent.
The parent may be alive or dead, the Patient's feelings of anger may still be the same.
An approach might be that the therapist suggest that the parent had a reason for abusing. Usually the Patient has available to him, information about the parent received unconsciously in childhood.
The Patient may even be able to give valid reasons why the parent abused.
Bearing in mind the Patient wishes to be loved he may be willing to look at ways of understanding why the parent abused. Maybe the Patient has an awareness that the parent was abused as a child.

5. An abreaction can sometimes lead to realization but rarely resolution. After a Patient has ab-reacted they will often have new information about the cause of their problem.
However knowing why a problem exists doesn't usually solve it.
When Patients ab react they release energy and they free additional energy that previously was used to repress the traumatic memory.
This new release of energy can be applied and directed into future positive outcomes.
However the release of energy is in itself not a cure.

Patients often feel vulnerable after an abreaction - this is when therapy should occur. At the end of an abreaction the therapist should start to consider various therapeutic approaches to repairing the Patient.
At this time more than any other the Patient feels the most vulnerable.
To send the Patient home in this state would be criminal. It is very important for the therapist to utilize the Patient's experience now and re-frame it in some way so that the Patient leaves the therapy setting with new beliefs.

Guilty parties/negative experiences/events should be re-framed to "heal the memory". Usually traumatic memories have a cast of characters.
In the case of abuse it may be one person.
In the case of humiliation, for example a child at school being laughed at, it may be a number of characters. The Patient will usually have intense feelings towards the characters in the trauma.
These feelings may be anger, resentment, and maybe even revenge.
The feelings that the Patient has are normally negative and aggressive in some way.
In a way the Patient is quite justified in feeling this way as they have probably carried around the symptoms caused by this event for most of their life.
Sometimes it is positive to allow the Patient to keep these feelings. Usually it is more therapeutic to re-frame these feelings in some way.
For example a child abused by a parent will feel very angry and resentful yet at the same time want to be loved.
The needing to be loved is an important element in Re-framing the Patient's belief and attitude towards the parent.
The parent may be alive or dead, the Patient's feelings of anger may still be the same.
An approach might be that the therapist suggest that the parent had a reason for abusing. Usually the Patient has available to him, information about the parent received unconsciously in childhood.
The Patient may even be able to give valid reasons why the parent abused.
Bearing in mind the Patient wishes to be loved he may be willing to look at ways of understanding why the parent abused. Maybe the Patient has an awareness that the parent was abused as a child.
This might help explain the parent's behavior.
Leading on from this the therapist may be able to suggest that the Patient think of forgiving the parent.
If the Patient wants to be loved and would like to change the negative feelings they have towards the parent then it may be possible to convert the hatred into forgiveness.
The Patient would then leave the therapy session having had the emotions evoked by the abreaction, and dealt with positively by the Hypnotherapist.
Are Girls Harder to Raise Than Boys?
Hard to say, really. I always wanted boys, thinking that they'd be easier to raise. And let's face it, boys don't actually get pregnant. My stepmother who had quite a few of each gender said she preferred girls. Or at least found them easier. Her view was that boys were hard work all the way, whereas you just had to keep the girls from getting pregnant or married too young!

I have had to micro manage the boys through school - learning problems, bullying - first as a victim and secondly (in self defence I think) as a bully.

By comparison my daughter has learned to read and write (and a little 'rithmetic!) without any apparent hassles.
She's not hard to get on with, she is usually liked by teachers and students alike.
Her one episode as a bully victim was easily fixed with a school change and she just blossomed again.
She has nowhere near the attitude of the boys so far.
But are girls harder to raise than boys? There is the problem.

The real problem for me is: I've done the hard yards with the boys.
.. and now I'm looking straight down the barrel at hard yards with the girl. No time out for good behaviour on my part! No long service leave. No pat on the back for doing a good job. Hardly seems fair really! Just a footnote on raising boys and pregnancy tho - I think you'll find there's been a big upturn in the numbers of pregnant girlfriends moving in with the boys parents lately.

Well because that's the definition of what government regulators do, regardless of industry. Consider if you will that you have HIPPA laws, the FDA, the FCC, and the entire regulatory bureaucracy that watches over the "Industrial Medical Complex" on the scene.
Does anyone really believe that things will move ahead in an orderly or common sense fashion - you know, to "help people" in the health care sector? Not me. Further, consider the tough time all large corporate IT departments are going through right now, where everyone is busy logging into the corporate computer system on their mobile devices, while downloading apps from places unknown, with malware, spyware, robust tracking cookies, or God forbid the "Flame Virus" which is enough to give any IT security professional one an upset stomach or headache - who knows maybe they can run the IT system from their hospital bed once they check in? President Obama said he'd like to see the frequency spectrum loosened for Medical and Hospital needs, and yes, surely he does, don't we all, but it really isn't that easy as you know.
Still, if something isn't done none of these great devices can deliver the efficiency that's needed to control the onslaught of cost increases in our health care system.
It's a giant catch-22 indeed.
The regulations in place are stifling these new innovations, plus the security is paramount when it comes to medical electronics.
These devices must be safe, robust, and security tight.
Sharing frequencies is a problem obviously, but with all of the allotted spectrum being used and all the new devices moving forward, well, it's not only a massive regulatory nightmare, but a technical challenge as well.
