Tips for Hosting a Costume Party

To tell you frankly, having a bunch of little six-year olds racing through my house was not my idea of spending the weekend.
However, there was nothing I could do because it was my daughter's birthday and she wanted to have a princess party.

My husband and I decided to chaperone a princess costume party so that we can save our home from destruction.

My daughter would send out invitations telling her little friends that it was her birthday and that she was having a princess costume party.
I was glad that all of the other girls seemed incredibly thrilled about it.
I'm pretty sure that their mothers were also happy because they will have an evening to themselves.
Having a costume party for her birthday was a dream come true for my daughter.
She'd live in her dress-up clothes if she had it her way. She puts them on once she gets home because I won't allow her to wear them to school.

In fact, she has even worn them to the mall and restaurants before.
Of course, I'm not about to complain about her request because she looks adorable as a little princess and it makes her happy. I could tell that the other girls' mothers had improvised princess costumes for them, from glancing at some of their costumes.

All the other guests looked absolutely adorable. I was very happy when my daughter told me afterwards that it was her best birthday party ever. Halloween is also a great time to have a costume party, but you don't have limit yourself to just that holiday.
Getting an invitation to a costume party at any time of the year can be a lot of fun. A costume party can have a theme that encourages the guests to dress from a certain time period or a particular character.

You don't have to spend a lot of money to organize a costume party.

In fact, there is even no need to send invitations in this day and age.
You can simply call your friends on the phone to invite them or send them email invitations for your party. A party with a murder mystery theme was one of the most fun and eventful costume parties that I'd been to.

I received an invitation that assigned me a certain personality and character, and I had to dress for the part.

The party ended up being so much fun because the guests were excited with being able to do something so out of the ordinary.
